Blog 20: Fourth Interview Questions

1.  Who do you plan to interview?  What is this person's area of expertise?
2.  Post 20 open-ended questions you want to ask an expert in the field concerning your senior project. Your focus should be finding answers to your EQ.


  • How long have you being intro art/graphic design?
  • What college do you go to?
  • How long have you been in the graphic design?
  • What was your favorite and least favorite design?
  • What would you be doing if you didn't work in graphic design?
  • What is your thought process when creating a design?
  • What challenges did you face during that thought process?
  • What excited you the most when learning about the topic, graphic design?
  • If you were working at WB where do you think he would be at this point of your life?
    1. Meaning what would be your dream job?
  • What do you think is your greatest achievement?
    1. what was your favorite design if you had made any to begin with?
  • How long did it take you to get through college?
    1. What degree did you achieve to get?
  • What were some of the things that you learned?
  • What's your opinion on graphic design being a lucrative career?
    1. Do you think it can be a lucrative career?
  • Was graphic design your first choice for a career?
  • What made you interested enough to get a degree in graphic design?

Blog 10 - Interview 2 Reflection

Questions

1. Please explain how you are spending your mentorship time (Is it at a workplace or somewhere else?  Are you shadowing?  Are you able to do tasks that are meaningfully related to the topic?  If so, what?  Are there other people who are experts in the location?  Etc...)

2.  How did you find your mentor?  How did you convince this person to help you?  

3. How would you rate your comfort level with your mentor at this point in your relationship?  How does this relate to the time you've spent so far at mentorship/with this person

4. What went well in this interview?  Why do you think so?  What do you still need to improve?  How do you know?  How will you go about it?

Answers

  1. You can say I've been shadowing I have see his workplace.
  2. My sister helped me find my mentor, who is also her soon to be husband.
  3. Rating from a 1-10 i would have to say a 6 or a 7.
  4. It flowed much better then the first interview I did with my mentor.

Blog 5 - Interview 1 Reflection

1. What is the most important thing I learned from the interview?  Is there anything I would do differently for other interviews?

2. Did I get additional resources and contacts?  What is the most useful?  Why?

3. What makes my interviewee qualified to help me? 

  1. The important thing i learned from this is that graphic design isn't just about drawing whether it be hand-draw or not, but involves so many other things like photography.
  2. No, not yet any way my mentor is currently looking for known associates of his in graphic design.
  3. He is my mentor who has not only his bachelors degree, but also has experience.

Blog 3 - First Interview Preparation

I plan to interview my mentor, plain and simple. Reason being is that I want to know even more about what my mentor thinks about graphic design. So the extra questions i plan to ask are; What kind of schooling does it take for this topic?, What made you interested in graphic design?, and How many different forms of graphic design are their?
